"If we take eternity to mean not infinite temporal duration but timelessness, then eternal life belongs to those who live in the present." - Ludwig Wittgenstein
This 14-hour performance in collaboration with poet Stephen Ratcliffe, dancer Shinichi Iova-Koga, Noh actor Jubileth Moore, Thingamajigs Performance Group, and the Long Tone Choir took place in October 2016 on Mare Island.
The Long Tone Choir is in a two and a half year process of performing a five part cycle of season-inspired two-hour performance installations. Follow these links to images and text about the overall project and its process thus far, winter + summer 1: insects. Photos and a write-up about spring is in the works. The next installment - autumn - will take place at the Center for New Music in fall of 2018 as part of the Hush Series, curated by Julia Ogrydziak.
"The pioneers at making life feel longer in the way that counts are not dieticians, but artists." - Alain de Botton
