drawings: art of Light
"Whatever light is, it seems to exist in a realm where there is no before and no after. There is only now." - Peter Russell
Drawing is essentially a study of light. Light is both a particle and a wave, and so drawing - being a study of light - is an exploration of the duality of matter and temporality. Whether I draw an animate being or an inanimate object, something from this world or from an imaginal or intuited world, my aim is for the image to feel alive, and for the viewer to feel as if they could touch and interact with what they see on the page. My work pulses between precise and slapdash, depending on my ever-shifting circumstances. You may view some newer work here, old art ghosts here, and some old art ghosts that are available by donation.
