On Nothing

My mind is occupied with thoughts of nothing.

" is of the utmost importance not to make a thing but rather to make nothing. And how is this done? Done by making something which then goes in and reminds us of nothing." - John Cage

My mind is occupied with nothing and yet is full of thoughts.

"One of the most surprising recent advances in cosmology is that 75% of the Universe seems to be made of nothing." - Charles Lineweaver, astrobiologist

Thoughts of nothing are invisible, inaudible, intangible, odorless, and tasteless, yet they require a great deal of energy and time.

"The black holes of nature are the most perfect macroscopic objects there are in the universe: the only elements in their construction are our concepts of space and time." - Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar, astrophysicist

Thinking of nothing requires more energy and time than thinking of something.

"Why is there something as opposed to nothing?" - Bertrand Russell
